In 1988 Chevrolet produced only 2,050 of this special edition Corvette's known as the "White Commemoratives".
Commemoratives ran with the performance rear-axle ratio of 3.07:1. they were also fitted with less restrictive mufflers, which improved breathing and added 5hp to engine output, raising it to 245hp net. These commemoratives also got a stronger hood support to better manage the weight of the massive one-piece clamshell.
